Made of linden wood (basswood), these small chip carved plates are about 5.5 inches in diameter. They were inspired by the polish chip carving tradition of the tatras. A special thanks goes to Steve Sergev who managed to teach me enough woodturning for me to attempt this on my own lathe. The first was a gift for mother's day. It features various layers of a tulip motif (roots, bulb, flower) along with the central tulip design. The second was comissioned by Iza Turska for her guests from China.
