This box was made on the occasion of my friend's mother's birthday in October of 2011. Inside covered with red microsuade. This box challenged me because I had never done a box with a frame and panel top before, so the hinges had to be attached more carefully. Core made of walnut with maple and purpleheart roses and inlay bands, finished with tung oil. Click on any picture to view full size
