This box was custom ordered through a friend for his brother's birthday. The form of the kingwood, especially the sapwood really lended itself to the overall aesthetic of the finished box. Kingwood is beautiful and one can really see the rich brown and purple hues at certain angles. The delicate inlay turned out to be really challenging for me.
