This was a nightstand box I made for my grandmother's birthday in October 2011. I like how the lily turned out, it looks truly three dimensional at certain angles in the sunlight. When I first cut the top portion on the bandsaw I thought I had cut it too thin, but I think thats what gives it the delicate feeling. Made of Sapele wood with maple and purple heart inlay, finished with tung oil. click on any picture to view full size.
